For fishing in the lake, one should have completed 17 years of age and need a valid Michigan fishing license. The license is issued even in electronic form and valid from March 1st of a year to March 31st of the next year. SEASON INFORMATION

Fishing is allowed from dawn to dusk and it is convenient to use a pier or boat for fishing though many choose to do shore fishing also. Rainbow trout are stocked in huge numbers during April and fishing tournaments are held throughout the year. The lake has yielded various award-winning fishes huge in size- Bluegill and Longnose Gar to name a few.
